Our elegant, licensed dining room was recommended with two stars out of three in “2007-Where to Eat in Canada” and is one of only a handful of Island locations to receive the distinction. When you sit down to a meal at the Victoria Village Inn, you will quickly see why. Classically trained chef/owner Stephen Hunter is well known for his creative use of fresh and local ingredients. Meals prepared in our restaurant feature only the finest organically grown lettuces, herbs and vegetables, sun-ripened fruits and berries, Island lamb, and fresh fish and seafood. We are fully licensed and have a well balanced wine selection.
We make it easy for you to enhance your stay by offering dinner/theatre packages in conjunction with the Victoria Playhouse. Make an entire evening out of it without leaving the village.
The restaurant is open 5pm-10pm daily from early June until the end of September, on weekends, and for special events year round.

Off Season
The Victoria Village Inn is a great choice when considering a winter getaway, with private dinner parties , cooking classes, and romantic weekend getaways. There is also lots to do outside with over 60 km of groomed cross-country and alpine skiing just a short drive away at Brookvale Ski Park .
If you are looking for a different way to spend a Saturday night or a unique way to enjoy an evening with friends, call chef Stephen Hunter at the Victoria Village Inn. Hunter is opening up the Inn to small parties of diners this winter season. With four comfortable guest rooms and classically trained chef Hunter preparing gourmet cuisine, there’s no better way to beat the winter blahs.
Hoping for something a little more hands on? Turn your dinner party into an interactive one. Chef Hunter will turn the meal into a private cooking lesson – teaching your group how to prepare the feast you will enjoy that evening.
Whatever your fancy, there is a package for you at the Victoria Village Inn this season. You may wish to dine only or make it a real mini-vacation by spending the night in one of the Inn’s comfortable guest rooms. Chef Hunter can accommodate you in any case.
Make it an even more memorable event by including an outing to Brookvale Ski Park (just a short drive away), a romantic horse and sleigh ride, or snowmobiling and snowshoeing on a local trail. When you come back to the Inn, the cozy atmosphere will be waiting for you – helping to shake off the cold as your group lounges in the comfortable private living room. And later in the evening, when you retire to your rooms and curl up under comphy duvets, your thoughts will be nothing but warm.
So while it’s frosty outside on the south shore this winter, find warmth, good cheer, and great food inside at the Victoria Village Inn.
Cooking Classes
We are planning to hold cooking classes at the Inn for Winter 2008. Group size is limited, and a schedule will be set once we have determined the best day of the week. Please contact us to get your name on the list.
Catering
During the off season, November- May, Chef Hunter offers catering for groups large and small. You pick the venue, and Stephen will come with all ingredients and equipment needed to produce a customized gourmet menu for you and your guests.
As the host of this party, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. You will eat, drink, laugh, and enjoy your friends while someone else does the cooking, serving and cleaning up! |
